I have Motorola L7i cell phone. I was trying to get cell info display(Area locater) on my Home screen. After googling I found out way to activate this.
Go to Messages -> Setup -> Info Srvc Setup
Service : On
Active Channels = 50
Quick View = 50
Save Q.View = NO (If you don't want to receive the messages)
Restart your cell.
Now you should be able to see cell info.
